President’s Message Welcome to the Palmetto Dunes Women’s Club for the 23-24 calendar year. I am excited to begin my term as your president. Glenn and I built our home in Leamington in 2004 but didn’t retire full time until 2013 at which time I joined PDWC. We hoped to meet new friends and enjoy a great social life during our retirement. PDWC met our expectations so well we can’t think of any place we’d rather live. We dine, play games, golf, bike, and read books with the most amazing people. As we begin a new year we would encourage you to join a new group to meet some new amazing women. Liz Novak our new Vice President is working to find Chairpersons for groups with no leaders. If you are interested in stepping up to the plate let Liz know. If you have an idea for a new group, work with Liz to get it going. |
The next New Members Tea is to be held at Patsy Frankle’s home on November 6th at 1:00pm. Anyone wishing to attend will find information under the activities -> community projects web page. All are welcome to attend and may register here. Our next big social event for our entire membership is the Holiday Luncheon at Chez George on December 5, 2023 at 11:30 am. Invitations are out and registration is open. Arrangements and planning for the event were led by Andrea Nace a member of the social committee. And don’t forget we will once again play a game exchanging small gifts. Looking forward to seeing you all at the Holiday Luncheon. Watch for blasts from our IT Guru, Debbie Wenner-Waterman for Wild Apricot classes. Debbie is an amazing woman and is currently creating the PDWC newsletter on our webpage for easy access to what’s going on. Say a special hello to Susan Diehl our new Secretary who will be writing down all of our PDWC minutes. Thank you Susan for stepping up to the plate. Thank you to Cate Jarrett for stepping up to be our Sunshine Girl. Happy Holidays to you and your family and remember the advice from the Volcano: Stay Active Keep your inner fire burning It’s ok to let off steam Go with the flow Be uplifting And have a blast. |

Starting in January, 2024, two different training programs will be offered on the Wild Apricot software. One program for Event Coordinators, and the other for general users. The former course will concentrate on how to use PDWC's website to set up and monitor events/group activities.
The General Users' program will be offered separately for Apple or Android users and will explain how to use the website as a reference for what is going on, plus as a directory, event calendar and for document retrieval. You should bring your phones to the course. This is "phone-on" training.
Look for upcoming newsletters for more detailed information. In the interim, sign up for the appropriate training group by clicking on your name in the upper right hand corner of the web site. Select Edit Profile and scroll to the bottom of the screen. Hit the box next to the Wild Apricot training program(s) you are interested in and SAVE. Easy as that. We will notify you when the time comes for the training programs.
